Ihsan Institute Presents: A Comprehensive Guide to Menstruation
Join us for an enriching 10-week program that delves into menstruation, exploring the Fiqh and beyond. Our goal is to equip you with essential knowledge for fostering a healthier mind and body along with a holistic understanding of your cycles.
Recognizing that mental and physical well-being are vital for a strong believer, we will approach menstruation from multiple perspectives. This course covers everything from the biological aspects of menstruation to legal rulings in the Maliki school of thought as well as its social implications and spiritual significance.
By the end of this course, you will gain a profound appreciation of your cycle, empowering you to navigate your cycle with confidence. God willing, you’ll emerge healthier, happier and stronger.

Meet the Teacher
Ustādha Saffiya Gaffar:
Ustādha Saffiya started her Islamic Studies at the Micro Madrasa in Liverpool. Thereafter, she studied Arabic in Morocco before completing her Bachelors in Islamic Studies at Cambridge Muslim College. She is currently continuing her Islamic Studies with Shaykh Ahmed Saad al-Azhari, with a focus on Arabic and Maliki Fiqh.
She has taught Arabic, Tajwid and Fiqh at various institutes including Cambridge Muslim College, Al-Erth al-Nabawi Academy, Noon Arabic and Dar al-Zahra Liverpool. She currently teaches Fiqh and Arabic weekly and is involved in multiple community outreach programs in London, such as Al-Muhsinat Collective. In her spare time she loves to sing, play duff, swim and practice her archery.
